Welcome to Mars. In the year 2091, humans have been forced to leave a climatically devastated Earth in a mass migration. The first six brave colonists will embark on the 140-million-mile journey to the Red Planet to construct the first home by 3D printing Martian regolith.

As climate change threatens all environments, it has become apparent that coastal cities experience climate gentrification. Three factors – Miami’s coastal ecosystem, high cost of living, and economic disparities – obstruct its ability to provide these communities with adequate resources.

After arriving on Mars, humankind will celebrate its accomplishment by attending a welcoming ceremony inside Genterra Mons. In the near vicinity of the colony, this monument for Mars resides on a flat landscape at the center point between a chain of three large Martian mountains and Olympus Mons.
