>BIG collaboration for a project proposal

Through a group collaboration with BIG Architects led by Giulio Rigoni, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Elisa Martinez, an architect based in Mexico, on a proposal for a new workshop and showroom for De Castelli. From June to October 2024, we made a plan to have minimal impact and interference on the existing abandoned factory and site. We made every attempt to preserve the character of the historic location while still improving the layout and making it work functionally for the provided program. We exceeded the expectations for the desired outcome of the project proposal by retaining the large majority of the property’s structures. We did so while also offering a design for a simple yet effective new building construction to amplify the project’s success.
